Knitting cowls is a favorite, i think its because i have to do mind math to figure out how many stitches i need everytime i get different yarn.
I really like knitting, its like one big mystery and there is so much to learn.
I have the Elizabeth Zimmermann books of course, i read them like regular books but havent been brave enough to try one of the projects, any, even with random yarn, not worrying about the size, just for the joy of making something. And with so many friends around me having babies, im sure
one of those babies would fit in whatever comes off the needles.
Surely.
But ive been taking steps and i do see a sort of evolution, if i stick with it i know i can do it. There was a time i wasnt even able to finish a blanket and look at me now.
Cowls, blankets, scarves, hats and even a wrist warmer.
The local yarn shop had a clearance of their wool skeins (a week after i looked at their old stash in the back of the shop) and its almost gone!
I had my heart on some mustard goodness but missed it.
Came home with several others that spoke to me and will be turned into cowls, and also, finally found black non-itchy wool (so hard to find!) to make a little something for my brother. Its been long over due but i wanted the perfect yarn.
I found it.
